Belgian Waffles

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon halal salt
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 2 large eggs separated
- 1/2 cup of melted unsalted butter
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
Instructions
Note: Double-click on the instruction to start the kitchen timer when cooking.
- Spray the waffle maker with a little oil.
- Into a large bowl of flour sifter and baking powder then add salt and sugar, stir well.
- Using a hand mixer with egg whites in a small bowl, shake until the stiff peaks stand upright.
- To the second bowl, beat the egg yolks, butter, milk, and vanilla together.
- Beat the butter mixture into the flour mixture until it is only combined then very very gently, fold the egg whites (don't stir) and pour 1/3 cup of the portion into your Belgian waffle maker to cook as instructed.
- Serve.
